- Conditions: The £5,000 is available as a tuition fee reduction on the first year of study. If you are already in receipt of a scholarship award from us or you become eligible for another scholarship award from us, we will apply 50% of the value of the Excellence Scholarship award.

- To get this scholarship you must: Be a resident of China who would be eligible to pay the overseas tuition fee have a conditional or unconditional offer to study any in-person, full-time, postgraduate master’s programme achieve a first-class honours degree or an equivalent qualification in your undergraduate studies at a tier A or B university pay your tuition fee deposit by Thursday 15 January 2026 Check your university tier As there are a limited number of these scholarships, they will be awarded on a first come, first served basis, based on the date that you submit your programme application to the University of Southampton.
- The first 150 applicants who meet the listed eligibility conditions, including payment of their tuition fee deposit by 15 January 2026, will be awarded the scholarship.
