Overview
A full-fees postgraduate award at a top-ranked UK institution, explicitly designed to widen access to medical and health education for students from lower-income countries. Materially life-changing for the right candidate.
Full tuition fees for one eligible postgraduate programme at the University of Edinburgh. Does not cover living costs, travel or visa fees.

Must hold a confirmed offer (unconditional preferred) on one of the listed eligible medical / health postgraduate programmes (taught or research, online or on-campus). Must currently be domiciled in an eligible country, priority is given to applicants from Africa and other OECD DAC-listed countries (low- and middle-income economies eligible for Official Development Assistance, e.g. Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone, South Africa (selected programmes), Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, and many others on the official DAC list). See the official Glenmore page for the authoritative country list before applying. Preference is given to applicants who have not previously completed a Masters-level qualification. Personal statement must address (a) why this programme and (b) how the applicant intends to use the training for career or community impact, especially in their home country.
Apply to your chosen postgraduate programme first. Once you hold an offer (preferably unconditional), submit the Glenmore application via EUCLID/MyEd. A personal statement is required, addressing motivation for the programme and intended career or community impact.
Highly selective. Small number of awards each year, weighted toward applicants with a clear plan to apply their training in their home country or region.
