Overview
upReach is a UK social mobility charity that gives undergraduates from lower socio-economic backgrounds long-term, personalised employability support across their entire degree — not a one-off workshop.
Application support, mock interviews, CV help, exclusive networking and work experience opportunities, mentoring, and sector-specific programmes in Banking & Finance, Engineering, Insurance, Law and Technology. Supports applications for internships, spring weeks and graduate schemes.
Completely free for accepted Associates.
Full-time undergraduate students aged 18+ on their first degree at a UK university. Must have attended UK state schools only (or since age 14 if educated abroad), household income below £42,620, minimum BBB at A-Level equivalent (contextualised), and GCSE Maths & English at grade 4/C or above. Primarily aimed at first-year students.
Rolling online application via upreach.org.uk — open 24/7. Followed by an interview before becoming an Associate.
One of the most consistently effective social mobility programmes in the UK — Associates are statistically much more likely to land top-tier grad schemes than peers from similar backgrounds.
