Overview
upReach is a UK social mobility charity that gives undergraduates from lower socio-economic backgrounds long-term, personalised employability support across their entire degree, not a one-off workshop.
Application support,
mock interviews,
CV help,
exclusive networking and work experience opportunities,
mentoring,
and sector-specific programmes in Banking & Finance,
Engineering,
Insurance,
Law and Technology.
Supports applications for internships, spring weeks and graduate schemes.
Completely free for accepted Associates.
Full-time undergraduate students aged 18+ on their first degree at a UK university.
Must have attended UK state schools only (or since age 14 if educated abroad),
household income below £42,620,
minimum BBB at A-Level equivalent (contextualised),
and GCSE Maths & English at grade 4/C or above.
Primarily aimed at first-year students.
Rolling online application via upreach.org.uk, open 24/7.
Followed by an interview before becoming an Associate.
One of the most consistently effective social mobility programmes in the UK, Associates are statistically much more likely to land top-tier grad schemes than peers from similar backgrounds.
