Overview

You will hold, or be close to finishing, a PhD in cell biology, stem cell biology, tissue engineering, biomedical engineering or a related field.
The project will develop a new screening platform using novel soft matter 3D printing methods to create physiologically relevant cardiac tissue models.
You must have significant hands-on experience of mammalian cell culture and a proven record in stem cell differentiation, ideally with iPSC-derived lineages.
You will also need strong experience in imaging, such as confocal, fluorescence or live-cell microscopy, together with the image analysis to go with it.
You will receive full training in using and developing the printing methods, so you do not need previous experience of 3D printing.
