Overview

What you'll do
  • Work alongside Mechanical Engineers to resolve real engineering problems that directly affect the portfolio.
  • You may also spend time with other disciplines, such as shift work with our operations section, taking on the day-to-day challenges that come with operating a power station.
Eligibility
  • Job requirements and experience Ideally, you should be studying a BEng or MEng Mechanical Engineering degree at an undergraduate level.

  • A personal retirement savings plan – if you put in 5% we will top up by a further 10% and you will get life assurance worth 4 x annual salary.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, pro-rata.

Selection process
  • The Assessment Centre will take place on Tuesday 24th November 2026 face to face DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon, Lydiard Fields, Great Western Way, Swindon, Wilts SN5 8UZ.
  • On the evening prior to the Assessment Centre a meal will be held at DoubleTree by Hilton, which you will be required to attend.

About the employer
  • A placement with the Rotating Equipment team will allow you to work within this dynamic and international group of engineers, and will be based either at RWE’s UK head office in Swindon or at one of RWE’s UK power station sites.
